Pastor Jamie Archer
Senior Pastor
Jamie was born and raised in Emanuel County, GA. It was there that he was led to faith in Christ by the faithful witness of his grandmother. Sensing God’s call to preach the Word, Jamie entered the Gospel ministry just after graduating high school in 1993. Since that time, he has served three Southern Baptist Churches in Florida and Georgia before becoming Senior Pastor of Cumming Baptist in August of 2018. Pastor Jamie married his beautiful wife, Ashley in 2001, and God has blessed them with four boys: Landon, Colby, Reid, and Cameron. Jamie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theology from the Baptist College of Florida; a Master of Divinity from Liberty University; and a Doctor of Ministry, also from Liberty.

Pastor Mark Wood
Associate Pastor - Worship and Students
Mark was born and raised right here in Forsyth County. A graduate of Forsyth County High School, he sensed the call to ministry during his first year of college. He attended Mercer University in Macon, GA, where he met his beautiful wife, Julie. Following college, Mark attended the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. During college and seminary, he served in several churches in the areas of youth, music and recreation. Mark began full time ministry in 1988 following seminary. He has served here at CBC since 1999. Mark & Julie are proud parents of 2 wonderful daughters (and 2 outstanding son-in-laws) who are all grown up, on their own and serving the Lord faithfully.

Pastor Blake Carter
Children's Pastor
Blake grew up in Cumming, graduating as a Bulldog from FCHS! The Lord saved him at the age of 9, and he has never been the same! As he started to read the Word of God, the Lord called Blake into ministry and the ride has been AMAZING! He went to Toccoa Falls College where he met the best part of his life, next to Jesus, his beautiful angel, Jana! He graduated from TFC and then received his Masters degree from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary in Lynchburg, VA. Blake and Jana have a beautiful daughter who serves the Lord with them as well! Blake has served the Lord in full-time ministry since graduating from high school as a student pastor, lead pastor, Bible teacher, and is honored to serve the Lord at CBC as Children’s Pastor! In addition to serving at CBC, Blake also serves the Lord as a Bible teacher at Horizon Christian Academy in Cumming. Go Warriors! Blake wants to represent Jesus to the next generation! His life verse is Eph. 3:20!
